I LOVE popcorn. I’m the guy who buys the large tub of popcorn at the movies and finishes it during the coming attractions. I enjoy popcorn cooked with oil and salt and I enjoy popcorn cooked in a hot air popper with no salt. The problem with my hot air popper, though, was keeping the kernels in the bowl and not spraying them across the counter. When using THIS popper, I followed the simple directions. Add 1/4 cup of uncooked popcorn. Put on the lid. Cook on high for two minutes. When I did the first time, I got a great batch of popcorn. There were several unpopped kernels at the bottom, so I tried 2 1/2 minutes the next time. When I took off the lid, several pieces of popcorn were scorched, but most were fine. The third time I tried it, I split the difference and went for 2 minutes and 15 seconds. Oh, Goldilocks!! It was JUST RIGHT. No scorched kernels. Very few “old maids” were left in the bottom. The popcorn was light and crunchy, and in my humble opinion, PERFECT. The popper does what it needs to do, it cleans easily in the top rack of the dishwasher, and it collapses for easy storage. You may need to experiment with the cook time using YOUR microwave, but once you get it, I’m confident you’ll love it, too. I gave it 5 Stars because that all the Stars they gave me!
