I’ve not really heard much of the brand of the name Wesco before but after using a few of their products I have to say I am quite impressed with what they are offering. Including this drill.
It’s a standard size drill with 22 torque settings, a drill option and a hammer function.
It’s an 18volt version which is adequate for more jobs around the home and more.
It’s nice and light-weight in the drill world, coming in at just over 1 ½ kilo, which is great for holding a while on those trickier jobs.
The keyless chuck is nice and smooth, with a strong clamping mouth which clings tightly to the bit inside the three ‘teeth’.

Using the torque settings is simple and anyone who’s used such a drill before knows how it works.
The trigger is easy to pull and the direction button sits at thumb level, making it easy to flick from one way to another without any trouble at all.
There’s a small, metal clip, which comes in the package and you have to screw it into place. This clips onto a belt so you can go hands free up a ladder, (or somewhere) with the drill in easy reach.
The charging cradle is small, but that’s all you need. Slide the battery onto the cradle, the terminals connecting, and give it some power … wait a few hours for the red light to go green and you’ve got a full battery. Job done.

In all, even though this drill hasn’t got a more popular brand etched on it it manages to do the same job as those higher priced, ‘labelled’ drills.
It’s got plenty of torque, making it more controllable, and the chuck is smooth, yet tightens with ease, and, once tightened, the bits don’t slide about inside its jaws.
The few accessories which come with this are a bonus, especially the bag which can house more than the drill and the charger.
Well worth the money, without a doubt
