Not as Shiny as the Picture

This Jewelry set from Luyuan Jewelry has a lovely shape and very pretty stones which are set nicely into the pieces. The packaging for the product came undamaged and the jewelry set came in a cream-colored box with a cream colored fabric bow, which was a nice touch as it would be easy to wrap or use as a gift as it. The pieces were held steady in a black foam bed; like my first piece of Luyuan jewelry thought, the ring was loose and rattling around in the box.

This set comes with a ring, a necklace, and a pair of earrings. Each of the pendants in this particular set were roughly the same size, but the earring and ring pendants were a bit smaller than the necklace pendant. The necklace chain is definitely shorter than I prefer my necklace chains; I am likely to add a chain extension as I prefer my necklaces to sit a bit lower. The pendant comes off the chain easily enough if you prefer to replace the chain with a different type. I do really appreciate the “vintage” design of the pendants.

This piece has some pretty aspects and some drawbacks. I like the red and silver color scheme, as it can pair well with a lot of different colors. The ring is a bit too big for my taste, so I am unlikely to use it, but it is still a pretty ring that matches the rest of the set well. The pieces are generally large and need to be paired a bit carefully, so they probably aren’t for everyday use. Each of the pieces match well and the design is consistent across all three of the pieces of the set. Unfortunately, the red stones do not have any sort of shine too them. They are more of a matte finish look which is inconsistent with the picture of the yellow stones on the listing. The listing does not give you an option to view the red stone, instead showing the yellow stone set when you click on the red options.

As for cons to this jewelry set, the biggest one for me was are the size of the necklace chain and weight of the pieces. The pieces are also rather bulky in design and probably not suitable for daily use for most people. I definitely think they would favor a curvy person over someone with a slight figure as the large pieces would seem a bit too much. I would overall give this set a 3 out of 5 stars. While it is pretty and a sturdy design, you really need the right figure to pull this off and the pieces are a bit clunky and heavy compared to how they appear in the image. In addition, the matte design on the stone was disappointing compared to the shiny stone shown on the listing. Nevertheless, it is still a pretty set and would definitely suit many people well.
