This device combines a USB wall charger with a 3-port power bank (6500 mAh with 2 USB onboard plus 1 USB on the magnetic wall wart) and includes an SD-Card reader/writer. It not only recharges your phone and tablet while away from power, but allows you to backup your iPhone / iPad contacts and photos and store on a memory card for restoring later when necessary. It uses an app called GeniuSTORE (see photos). As you can see from my pics, you can access both the phone internal storage as well as the GeniuSTORE external storage.
My suggestion is to have 2 or 3 SD-Cards and rotate your backups, doing backups periodically. SD-Cards are cheap but your photos are priceless.
