I was a little skeptical at first seeing a USB socket on this device for power, but when you realize that usb can supply a lot of current, which is way more than you need for four stomp boxes it is a very convenient idea. This power supply is very well constructed. You could literally stand on it, because it is built in a solid metal enclosure. It gives you four outputs which obviously won't run a massive pedal board, but I think this piece is perfectly paired with the other Mugig pedals which are smaller in size and super energy conservative. They don't accept batteries, so you will need a power supply. if you have a small pedal board for coffee shop gigs, then this is a very compact and sturdy solution. I have not tried to push it to the rated 2000ma ( 2 Amp ) current rating which would make having this box a moot point. It is a great design for a compact and light pedal board. You will never need 2000ma because 4 pedals are only pulling perhaps 400ma max. So you can power this from any decent USB power supply, or a computer port. .I don't like using the ports on my laptop to power effects, so i would recommend getting a $5.00 USB power supply from the convenience store, which is all you need to run 4 pedals from Mugig as long as it is rated at 1000ma (1 amp ) at least.
