This is a really well made pedal. It does not come with a batter compartment, so you have to have a 9v adapter to power this unit. With that being said, It works very well to tune your guitar or bass. I have used it on stage with poor lighting, and have been able to tune it with ease. I am glad I decided to purchase this tuner.
