Fabulouis, I got for new baby BUT the 2 year old took it LOL she calls them her eggs.

My little found them and she love them so much, they make sound and she had to take them to bed LOL, I had getten them for the new baby but they seem to now be little girls. I would buy them again and would tell family they are fun for little ones too. age 1 up to 3 years. NOT a safe newborn or infant toy at all. This is more toddler age. This is extremely heavy and HARD - if it were to swing into a baby it could cause serious harm. But it is very good for the toddler age it will work well and handle them dropping it. Extremely fun and maybe younger then toddler if with adult supervision. Got an excellent deal on this and LOVING IT.
