Work Great - but feel weird

My oldest has been struggling with ingrown toenails on one foot, so bad that we had to go to Urgent Care to have them help him out and he ended up on a prescription to clear up the problem so they could remove it. Since then he has been fighting with it trying to ingrow again. He had a campout this last weekend and was very worried about his toe getting worse since they were going to be doing rock climbing and he was going to be digging his toes in to the rock facings as he made his way up and down. We were trying to come up with some way to help pad and protect his toes some more, as well as help keep it dry if his feet got wet crossing streams or something. In this set you get the toe caps and toe sleeves, with 2 big and 2 small of each - 8 pieces total in the package. The toe sleeves have gel inside that helps promote healing as well as keeps things protected. They don't fix the problem entirely or provide complete padding, but they are better than nothing and do make a difference if you have sensitive toes from ingrowns, corns, bunions, or whatever. They stretch to fit over your toes and then stay snuggly in place. If they are too long you can easily trim them down with scissors to the size you want. I am not sure how much my son wore them during the campout, but I know I tried one on my big toe that was feeling sore again as a new ingrown was starting, and it protected my toe from rubbing on my sheets in bed and then in my shoes as I went shopping later the next day. It feels odd having it on my toe (I can't stand things between my toes), but just like my toe rings I wear in summer, I got used to it and it didn't bother me long after putting it on. It looks funny, though. My son said they look like single toe socks. I said toe condoms, which got a huge laugh out of him, being 14. But if it works, so be it.
