Compact, Bright, Amazing Little Light!

When you have a family of campers, you can never have enough lights! I saw this light and thought it might be a good one for the kids to use while on their Boy Scout campouts since it is so small and compact. It is a great deal, being less than $10, so was a no brainer for me. I knew it would make a great addition, since some of our other lights are larger and bulkier.

Though this portable camping lantern is small and compact, it is nice and bright. It fits in the palm of your hand. It requires three double A batteries to power it up, and is waterproof. It has a thick plastic cover with two LED lights inside that are about 5w total. The range surprised me. It can actually light up quite the area. The Amazon description says it lights up a range of up to 5 meters. However long that is (I am not going to do the math to convert to feet), it is more than enough for what our family needs when camping. And it is bright, but not blindingly so. It will definitely be enough to illuminate the inside of their little 4 man tents and be bright enough to carry with them outside.

There is a small handle on top that folds down out of the way, but is perfect for clipping a carabiner to and snapping on to a belt loop so that you have your light with you for when you need it. To turn the light on, you simply press the center of the light. It is simple to power on and off and you don't have to go hunting around for a switch on it in the dark.

This is a great little light for campers and hikers and won't take up huge space in your gear box or day pack. It is bright and easy to use, so perfect for Boy Scouts.
