Decent quality RGB light bars that work with Google Home

SETUP:

I was honestly surprised at how easy it was to set up. In order to link this product with Google Home, it was necessary to use the "Smart Life" app. I've used this app before for other smarthome products, and this wasn't at all difficult. The physical setup process was also rather easy- I just had to plug the device into the wall. One issue that I did find was that the instruction manual also alluded to a controller being used, but the product did not come with a remote control. 

BUILD QUALITY:

The product was very clearly made out of lightweight plastic. This presented an issue, where the weight of the cables would pull the lights off of their bases. The bases themselves were simple plastic shells- it may be worth it to explore adding weights to these bases. I did see several places where the bases could be anchored, however the lights do not "click" into place. They simply rest on top of the bases. It might be a good idea to figure out how the lights could be affixed to the bases.

VALUE: Despite the low build quality the product does work well, and integrates seamlessly with Google Home (and "Alexa", Amazon's proprietary smart home service). The light produced is very intense and is perfect for adding accent lighting to a wall, or behind a television / monitor.
