I bought this rope light specifically for my garden to help cheer up a tired looking fence in my back garden. Still on winter sun atm, but seem to take and hold charge very easily.
I turned mine onto static for the time being, however once the evenings are warmer I will use them as flashing party lights, come winter/Christmas time, I may put them out the front as decorative lights.
As they are solar powered, I don't have to worry about changing batteries, finding an outdoor plug socket, or feeding them through the window.
