The kids love these

My boys eat a LOT of cold cereal, ice cream, oatmeal, etc. so we go through a lot of bowls in our house. The whole top of our dishwasher is always loaded with almost nothing but bowls and sippees. And I really didn't need more bowls to add to our massive collection, but I saw these and thought I would try them regardless. I was not all that impressed with them when I took them out of the package though. They are deceptive with how shallow they are on the inside compared to what they look like on the outside. Of course, the Amazon description says they are double walled bowls so they will keep your foods warm or cold, and that explains why they looked so deceptive to me on size. They have a 13 oz capacity. My boys both say this is the perfect serving size for them since they are trying to cut back on how much they eat. The bowls are supposed to be stainless steel, but are super light weight so feel like they are made of something and then coated with a stainless steel outside. But I don't know. I do know the description does say not to microwave or put them in the oven, nor to use the dishwasher with them. Of course, my boys did not know that and all of our bowls in the set have now passed through the dishwasher numerous times and are still looking exactly the same as they did before. So I am not sure why you need to avoid those things. While it was a deceptive set when I first looked at them, they are turning out to be a great set for my kids. They absolutely love them and choose these before any other bowl.
