Have always had that sticky felt rug holders that do the job intended but because of their stickiness they attract all the sort, dust and grit and as well as looking unsightly when I lift up the rug to clean it they also scratch the wooden floor
these rug grippers are a god send to me as they also do the job intended and hold my rugs perfectly both on wooden floor I g and tiles
