This device correctly diagnosed a car battery as faulty that was only one year old (reading shown in photo). That helped get a free replacement for the battery under warranty. And it now shows the new battery is working up to specification in terms of CCA. So it is working well so far.

One thing to note - when I connected this directly to the battery terminals the CCA reading came out 10% higher than when I connected it to the more accessible "convenience" battery terminals in the engine compartment, even though they are only inches from the battery. So that makes a difference (and it says so in the manual, to give it credit).
