We have the need for a wheelchair that is well-built and can be transported in our Acadia without taking up all of our cargo space. This wheelchair really fits the bill. It is made of powder-coated steel and is available in 16, 18, and 20 inch seat widths (we chose 18 inch) for patients of all sizes. The arm rests flip back so you can sit at a desk or table, foot rests swing to the sides, and the wheelchair folds up to a width of less then 12 inches. The tires are made of solid rubber material mounted on composite spoked wheels.
As you can see from our photo, when you remove the foot rest, the wheelchair fits comfortably behind my driver seat. This leaves the car's entire hatch cargo area free for groceries, etc. Made by Drive Medical. You will be glad you purchased this chair, we are.
