Providing your pet with clean water to drink is vital to it’s health and wellbeing. If you are away from your home for long periods of time small water bowls can be used up quickly and in large bowls the water can become dirty as bacteria can breed in it especially on hot days. A way to solve this problem is to use a water fountain with built in filtration which ensures a clean water supply for your pet.

This drinking fountain from isYoung  uses a mains powered 2 watt water pump to pump up water from a reservoir through an activated charcoal filter to the top of the fountain where you can choose from 3 different water flow settings:-

1, A gentle bubbling water surface.
2, A flower spout waterfall.
3, A flower spout waterfall combined with bubbling surface water.

The base reservoir has a 1.6 litre capacity with a water level window in the side. The water pump has a 1.8 metre cable which plugs into the supplied UK mains adaptor.  Also supplied are 2 x charcoal filters and an instruction manual.and a rubber mat. After some self-assembly this fountain worked well and was surprisingly quiet and it’s running costs should be cheap as it’s 2 watt pump motor should only use about 1.5KWh of electricity a month and the filters are easy to find online at a reasonable price.
