With Cub Scout Day Camp around the corner, it was time to restock some of the lanyards we use for visitor ID badges. We have different people coming to camp each day to volunteer, so this is the easiest way for us to identify who is a visitor and who is not supposed to be there. I needed a few new lanyards since all of my old ones have disappeared or are no good any more.
This time I opted to use lanyards that are more ribbon style than braided. The others fray horribly and look bad after a few uses. I wanted to see if the wider band would help more with keeping them looking decent. These are all black and have a badge clip on the end that opens and closes easily to hold the plastic pieces we use with visitor on it. They are long enough to easily put around your neck, but not so long that they hang down to your waist. They are 33" in length according to the listing, but for me they hang to about my stomach.
They seem to be well made and sturdy enough to handle what we have planned for them. And 10 is the perfect number since we don't usually have that many extra volunteers that just show up. It is the perfect addition to our summer planning for Cub Scouts.
