My nephew is afraid of fireworks (so am I) so I decided to create our own with lights. He was excited and I sent all week preparing for bonfire night. I got lots of led lights and, fibre optic lamps and other ones too. In the dark is looked brilliant, these were the finishing touches. I tested them in a completely dark room and it was phenomenal, I looked just like a light whizzing around without the bags. A few carefully placed mirrors gave effects I could only hope to achieve, it was incredible. The bonfire night rolled around. My nephew was super excited auntie had a surprise! It was fantastic to begin with the noise machines irradicated the noise outside and he was enjoying himself, then disaster... The gloves stopped flashing blue to begin with then red and he was so upset. Luckily I'd got a pair too but the same thing happen after about another 40 minutes. He wasn't near water etc just jumping about in the room being a fire work. Luckily I'd already prepared for a fibre optic light to fail so I had a torch that shone different colours it saved the day.
Would I recommend these? No certainly not, the price they demand suggests they are good quality when infact they are inferior and obviously rushed out with limited quality control.
I suggest if you want some of these you look elsewhere or rigorously test them before you give them to a child.
I managed to diffuse the upset, what would of happened had I not got something else?! (He's not spoilt either, he was just excited for a bonfire night he wasn't afraid of)
