A great training aid

This collar by #Top-Newest is very useful indeed. A bit of background: I have a real territorial barker who barks at anything and also seemingly nothing! He obviously gets attention from barking as we end up getting him in as he is annoying everyone! I’m against shock collars and so this vibrating collar seemed to be worth a try as it doesn’t harm the dog and isn’t painful. 

I like this one because it has the remote control so you avoid correcting the dog for barking in a genuinely useful situation such as someone trying to enter the garden for example. 

It charges via USB and has different strength settings - always start at the lowest setting. You can just use the tone, or vibration. It even has a light for finding your dog in the dark!

If you’re using it for nuisance barking, you should try to avoid your dog seeing you use it as you want them to think their barking is causing the vibration (it may need to be a higher setting than if using it for recall or to reinforce training commands as then it only wants to be to get their attention). Try to watch them through a window to see the effect and their reaction to gauge the setting you need.

Soon your dog will respond to the tone and you won’t need the vibration which is awesome. You can use it for recall, for things like chewing items or barking, it’s very versatile. The key thing is that your dog isn’t now receiving the attention he wants from you from doing these behaviours so this is a great training aid.
