Great item

 I'd been looking for one of these to see if it would help with hayfever symptoms in the summer months and just generally with waking up with a blocked nose!

As a product it's really nicely presented, packaged as well as a tablet pc or other tech device. All you get in the box however is the purifier and a micro-usb cable to power it. You need to supply a USB port or wall-socket to plug the USB end of the cable into. Most of us have spare phone chargers lying around the place nowadays though so that didn't bother me.

Assembly is simple, twist the top and it opens. You need to disconnect the wire inside before you can remove the filter, however it comes ready to go with no plastic cover on the filter.

The filter has all the expected elements, hepa paper, activated charcoal and there's also what looks like a point inside the base that will emit negative ions, although I don't know of a way to test if that actually works or not! There's also a rim on the filter you can add essential oils to (not tried that yet).

Three buttons on the side allow you to control On/Off, Oscillation On/Off and Speed Low/High. Those are the only controls.

When you power this up after unplugging it it defaults to oscillating quiet mode. So if you want to use it with a smart plug that removes power when you desire you'll have to be sure oscillating and quiet is what you want.

It is QUIET in quiet mode. I've got mine on my bedside table and it makes as much noise as a small computer fan running on low (which is pretty much exactly what's inside it). Think of an old laptop that isn't running hot. I can easily sleep with this on my bedside table. When you set it to oscillate the fan is queitest as some of the power is used in moving the head through 38 degrees. The noise dips and rises at the end of each oscillation cycle. Stop the oscillation and it's slightly more powerful and noisy, up the speed and it's noisier still. As noisy as a laptop running slightly hot!

Overall I'm impressed with the product.
