Absolutely ADORABLE!!

My nephew is about to turn 4 and he LOVES dinosaurs. I saw this shirt and thought it would be perfect for him. I loved the look of the print and know how much he loves his dinos, so figured this would be a great birthday present along with a dinosaur toy.   The shirt is made of 100% cotton, so might shrink when washed. The shirt is a light blue in color with a large dinosaur on the front that says "I love my mum more than dinosaurs" and has a "HAHA ROAR" on the outside of the dinosaur.  It is well made and stitched. I saw no stray threads or uneven/crooked stitches.   But what I love the most about this shirt is the shoulders. They have the cutest little spikes on them that stand straight up. They are done in orange, so stand out against the blue, and are to die for. There are three triangle spikes on each shoulder, each being fairly consistent in shape and size.   You can select from a variety of different sizes when ordering. They are not your typical sizes, but are more of a range. They begin with size 2-3, then 3-4, 4-5, 5-6, 6-8, and 8-10, so you can buy for toddlers or little boys. The problem I had is that my nephew is smaller, so has been wearing a size 3 (which has been large on him). I wanted to get him a shirt that would fit and last a little, so he could enjoy it longer. But I wasn't sure whether to get him a 3-4 or a 4-5. I was afraid the 4-5 would be way too big for him to enjoy it, but wasn't sure how long the 3-4 would last for him since he is in a 3 now. I didn't know if the shirts are more like the lower number or higher, so would a 3-4 fit more like a size 3 or a size 4? I ended up getting the 3-4 for him, hoping it would last, but am not sure what size it truly measures out to be since I have no other clothes of that size on hand to compare with.   Here is the confusion of the sizing chart from their Amazon listing, unedited (including spaces and puctuation).

140-Age(8-10 Years):Length:(21.65")/Bust:(32.28")   Regardless of all of that with sizing, this is a great spiked shoulder dinosaur shirt that I KNOW is going to be a HUGE success with my nephew. I KNOW he will have to wear it immediately and predict my sister is going to be washing it a lot so that he can wear it again and again. Now the question is can I hold off on giving it to him before his birthday near the end of next month or will I be patient enough to wait?
