I was impressed with the quality of this machine, sonically it sounds great with many sound options! It's pretty compact so I didn't expect much but I was pleasantly surprised. I have tried other styles $50+ dollars that didn't hold a candle to this one as far as the speaker and sound options go. It's powered by a cable, no batteries necessary. The on/off dial also controls the volume, which gets very LOUD. Overall, I'm very pleased.
