We have been looking for weatherproof electrical connectors for use on our Harley motorcycle. These will do the job just fine. This product gives us 2 pairs of 2-conductor connectors that are weather-tight, thanks to the yellow rubber boots on each.We will not be using them for lighting, but rather for connecting a USB adapter and a trickle charger, to keep the battery topped off while it is parked for weeks at a time. They will work fine.
One thing to pay attention to: the pictures on Amazon show both the male and female connectors are keyed so you can't plug them in cross-wired. The units we received have female keyed but male not keyed (please see pictures), so it is possible to plug + to - and - to +. For this reason, it is important that you pay attention to the wire colorcode when you use these extensions. It won't hurt standard headlights to wire backward, but will not work with LED headlights.
