make your own custom necklaces

I bought this jewelry craft for my eight-year-old daughter and I to make our own custom necklaces.  it is a very high-quality set! It comes with a book that has step-by-step full color photo directions for making the necklaces. The book also includes a large variety of fun and creative inlays for the necklace pendants. I liked that it comes with a variety of shapes for the pendants. Everything needed is included in the book except for scissors to cut out and trim your chosen design. The only thing that I did not like about this kit is that the glue seemed to darken the paper and some of the designs appeared to get lost especially with the lighter more pastel colors. I would have liked to have had a brighter design that would stand out more.

We did decided to use some glitter from our craft stash along with the liquid adhesive in the kit to make a sparkly necklace. Much like with the paper, it looked great until the glue dried and then it lost a little of its sparkle. We still liked how it turned out, I am planning on trying the designs again and adding a cardstock backing to the paper design and using less glue or trying a different type of glue altogether. My daughter and I had so much fun making the necklaces and she loves how they look!
