This is such fun instrument. I purchased this Kalimba thumb piano thinking that I would probably try it out and then pass it along to a young niece or nephew but I have been having such a blast playing it myself that I have decided to keep it and enjoy it myself!
It is actually a beautiful little instrument being made of wood that resembles mahagony with grain texture. It has ten keys that bend slightly at the end that are made for the fingers to "pluck". It comes with a little songbook that has cute little songs for beginners such as " "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star", You Are My Sunshine, Amazing Grace" and more! A black storage bag also comes with this thumb piano to keep it secure when not playing it. It is very easy to learn to play. I was a little slow at first but within a few hours, after becoming familiar with the music scores on the keys , my fingers were plucking out pretty melodies.
