I’ve been trying out a bunch of different wax for seals as I want to seal each wedding invitation, when I get that far, with wax since it is a nice, affordable way to add a nice cosmetic touch. Plus, our wedding is going to be a literature theme and the wax seal on the envelope will be a great way to bring the theme to our invitations. So, this set of wax seal sticks and the copper seal stamp that came along with it was a great way to build my small collection of wax. The packaging was undamaged when it arrived. The wax sticks were also undamaged and the product arrived on time.
This particular set comes with fifteen seal sticks and a cooper seal that says Good Luck when it is stamped into the wax. The sticks come in shades of pink, red, blue, purple, and metallics. Each stick has a lovely design running down the side. These particular seal sticks are a bit thinner than the average ones I have ordered, but I actually liked that aspect because they melted down really well. The colors are pretty much consistent with the Amazon advertisement, but they are also shown in the pictures I posted. There is no spoon included in this set, but any standard spoon should do to pool the wax if you want to gather it before pouring on the envelope. The sticks melt well when exposed to a lighter for heat, but they stay melted long enough to fill a spoon or to drip slowly and pool on the surface of the envelope.
Overall, I would rate this product a 5 out of 5 stars. The wax works nicely, the sticks are easy to melt and they have a great wick that burns well. They came in a decent box to keep the sticks in, although it a touch overfull. The packaging did leave a little bit to be desired though, for example, a box to keep the sticks in (even something flimsy and cardboard) would have been nice. Plus, for $13.99 on Amazon, these are a great price for the quality of product that you are receiving. It is definitely a product I would consider ordering again if I needed more wax of one of the colors in this set. The one thing I would change, if anything, is perhaps coating the wick a bit more so that it burns slower.
