There is not much you can say about wooden spoons. But that being said, I can see what I can come up with! I use spoons like this for all of my cooking, having been raised in a family that swears by wooden spoons. I have some plastic ones and silicone, but was running low on wooden spoons so decided to pick these up to add to the collection of kitchen utensils. They are sturdy with nice thick handles, so you don't have to worry about them cracking or breaking if you have a lot of thick items to stir. They are also smooth, so no need to worry about splinters in your hands while you are cooking, even after multiple uses. The handles are nice and long, so even if you have kids like mine that think they are going to burn their fingers when they stir something, they will be safe. The only thing I don't like about wooden spoons is the fact they are wood, which is porous, which means they absorb the oils and such from your food. The wood begins to discolor quickly, darkening as the oils soak in deep. But they can be run through the dishwasher and can be used the same as any other kitchen utensil with no difference. Decent set of utensils that can give you plenty of use.
