I am so lucky to have this

 
I love to have salad but the bags of shredded lettuce can be expensive sometimes but I would rather pay for the price of this bagged lettuce than buying a head of lettuce and having to cut it up myself. It also takes a long time to cut the lettuce and then cut the other things I want in my salad. I would rather go without eating lettuce than to buy a head of lettuce. I have seen these salad cutter bowls on TV and have been wanting to get one. I was so happy when I found this one and was able to buy it. 
The bowl dome is about 14 inches while the bottom of the base is between seven and 8 inches wide and the cutting area is about 6 1/2 inches. When making my salad, the first thing I did was lay pieces of lettuce into the dome of this salad cutter then I put a cucumber on top of the lettuce. Next, I put the base on top of the dome flipped salad cutter over and started cutting the lettuce by putting the knife through the slits there on the dome. After cutting the lettuce this way for a while, I moved the base so that I would be cutting the lettuce in a different direction. After cutting the lettuce and cucumber this way, I removed the base from the dome and put my bowl over the dome and foot my ball and dome over and that was it. There were some cucumber pieces that weren't cut very well but overall, the lettuce and some of the cucumbers were cut very well. Just today, I decided to try to cut some fruit in this bowl salad cutter to see how well this cutter cut the many different fruits that I added to it. In the bowl, I put one peach, one apple, two kiwis and some watermelon. For the apple and peach, I cut these in half and took their insides out; for the kiwis, I also cut those in half but as far as the watermelon, I just left it in strips. I cut the fruit exactly how I cut my salad last night and after a few minutes, I had a nice bowl of diced fruit. I do have to say that when I was cutting the fruit, I did put a plate under the dome when I had it upside down so I didn't have a mess while I was cutting or after I was cutting the fruit.   I absolutely love this bowl cutter. Cutting all the fruit would've taken me between our half an hour and an hour to cut all of them but with this cutter, it took me a matter of minutes. This bowl also saved me time when I made my salad last night.   I would definitely recommend this salad cutter bowl for anyone out there. I think every house should have at least one of these in their households. I just used this salad bowl cutter for only two bowls of something to eat, I can't imagine how many other ways someone could use this salad bowl cutter.   **I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest, fair and unbiased review.
