I am always on the hunt for new solar lights for my backyard. I am always disappointed at the life they have. When I buy something I want it to last more than six months. But so far, nearly every solar powered light I have gotten has died within six month, some even less. I have been looking for a new solar spotlight to light up a corner of my backyard that is a lot darker and shadowed than the rest.
This light comes with the main housing with the solar panel attached and a yard stake that inserts in to the light. The solar panel and spotlight itself can be adjusted by loosening up the knobs on the sides until you find the perfect position to capture the sunlight and spotlight your intended area.
There are 3 color settings that it rotates through. You get green, blue, and red - all of which seemed strange to me, but I was willing to add some color to my yard instead of using the typical white colors. I am not sure I really like it, though. I am still trying to decide. It can be set on high or low, neither which are super bright. My last spotlight was extremely bright and lit up almost the entire backyard. This one barely lights up the corner since the colors are not standard.
I want to say it is a great solar spotlight, but since it is so much dimmer than I expected with the colors, I have mixed feelings. It does work as intended, charging with solar power and then putting out light on whatever color or setting you select. But it is not as bright as I want, so I personally would not buy this one again. It does add some interesting color, though.
