I have never been one to do wings on my eyes with liner, partly because I don't like it all that much (it doesn't suit me and I don't want something stretching almost to my hairline), and partly because I could never figure out how to get both sides to match. I also don't wear liquid liner usually because I am horrible at getting it on straight. My eyes are wonky. Any time a makeup artist tries to apply eyeliner right along the lash line they always have a very puzzled look when done because it does not look straight at all. I have learned how to master the liner on my weird eyes, but it takes a lot of smudging, reapplying, and cleanin up - which is challenging when you have a liquid liner.
But I wanted to give this liquid liner and wing stamp a try to see if maybe I might be able to find success with any of it. I am willing to experiment and play with make up and see what I can do. Whether I go out in public with it or not is another story. Depends upon the product and how well I do with application.
I was impressed with how dark the color was. I did a swipe on my hand to show the color and it was very dark and strong. And it did not smear once dry, which happened really quickly so you can easily put this on then follow almost immediately with your shadow. It also works great over shadow, which I found out when I wanted to touch it up. I haven't used the stamping end of it yet, just the liner itself which has a very fine 8mm tip on it, which has allowed me to get a thin line.
Some people reported in Amazon reviews that it tends to flake, but I haven't seen that happen. Of course, I have only used it twice, but both times it has lasted for the full day with no problems fading or flaking on me. I was actually quite impressed with how long it lasted and how good it looked at the end of the day when I went to remove my makeup.
Others reported it is hard to remove. I had no trouble removing mine. I use Garnier Micellar Water to remove all of my make up, being a Senegence Distributor and using Lipsense which can be challening to remove. I do think it took a little more effort to remove than my usual eyeliners, but it did come off. I didn't have to scrub, and my eyes were not red and puffy after removing it (from the scrubbing that I didn't have to do). I was fine with removing it and don't see it as being problematic.
I am impressed with the performance of this eyeliner and have no problem recommending it to others. I don't use it too often simply because I am a stay at home mom and don't have much need to wear a lot of makeup. Plus I already mentioned I am not a huge fan of liquid eyeliner, so am not the most practiced with it and find it more challenging. But while it took me a bit longer to get the look I wanted, I found more success with this brand than with ones I have tried in the past.
