Cute bath or pool toys!

The baby is getting to the age where she loves to play with toys in the bath. She gets mad at me when I interrupt her play time to wash her hair or body! Since our foster care has typically been babies who are under age 1, we have had very limited bath toys. I figured since we are finalizing steps to adopt little missie, we need to add to the few toys we have and give her some variety to play with. These turtles caught my eye and I decided they were worth trying out with her.   There are three turtles to the pack, all wind up, self-propelled turtles made of plastic. They felt a bit cheaper than I would have expected them to be, but they seem to be holding up to her playing and abuse already. She is not yet 2, so she gives toys quite the beating. They were also a bit larger than I expected them to be, but this was both good and bad for us. Bad because her hands are still small and she can't hold them that well to play and because there is not much room for her to let them flip around in the bathtub. Good because she can easily find the wind up dial on the bottom, though she hasn't figured out what it does yet, and good because I can let her play with them in the swimming pool while she is in her floatie ring or in her kiddie pool on the patio.   I love the fact that these are wind up toys. They don't require any batteries or charging, so you can use them at any time without having to worry about them stopping on your mid-play. And it only takes a slight turn of the dial to get the little arms spining and send them on their way. They are easy to wind up and bring lots of giggles and laughter.   This has been an amazing set of wind up toys for the baby! She is loving them, whether playing in water or in the living room.
