Works well

It's great - works just as accurately as any other kitchen thermometer I got.

This one is a little more technical than most of them, with all it's different settings, but it's easy to set the it to the temp you want, and for how many seconds minimum, and the instructions are clear and simple. Nice big screen.

My only issue is that I wish you had the option to plug the probe into the main set too (only option is to plug it into the base), as sometimes it's handy to have it handheld, and if you then want to see the temp you'll have to hold both base and main set. For most kitchens it shouldn't be an issue though, as the probe comes with fairly long wire, so you should be able to easily reach inside oven/etc with the base sitting on the counter.

Needs 4 x AAA batteries (two for the base, two for the main set), not supplied.
