Perfection!!!

I finally found the ones I have been looking for! I have been searching for silicone oven mitts for quite some time, but none of the products I looked into actually protected my hands from the heat! These do, though!

Not every pan I use has a heat-protected or silicone handle. I love my Granite Rock pan, but the handle can get pretty warm after the pan has been sitting over heat for 10 minutes. So, I needed to find some mitts that would protect my hands from the heat. I was also looking for the hot pads because I was using two of mine to prevent slippage from the plates we were using. But guess what? These silicone potholders work better than the cloth ones. I’ll explain in a second.

Perfect Mini Pinch Mitts
The silicone mini pinch mitts are perfect for grabbing baking sheets, but I also use them to quickly grab or move my Granite Rock pan. The large mitts are perfect for moving the cast iron skillet when roasting veggies. I recently purchased the Ninja Foodi from Amazon (thank you Prime Day!) and it comes with this crisping basket which gets really hot! I stood there for a second trying to figure out how I was going to get that basket out of the pot, but wait – I have my new silicone mitts! (The mini pinch mitts were perfect for the job!)

Comfortable + Extra Grip
These are simply fantastic! The long oven mitts are comfortable and thick, so you know you will be protected. They also have a “honeycomb textured surface” to give you that extra grip you need when handling hot pans. There is a loop inside of the long mitt if you like to hang yours on the wall.

A weird idea
One last thing. I have two place-settings on the table with these beautiful Pioneer Woman plates. I wanted to fancy them up a bit, so I purchased plain white plates to go underneath the pretty ones. The thing is that the top plate moved around too much when cutting chicken or a steak, so I had placed a cloth potholder underneath to give it some traction. The silicone hotpads that come with this set fit that white plate perfectly, so we decided to use those instead. It’s kind of a weird idea, but it provides great traction for the plate on top!
