Finding an appropriate swimming suit for my 16 year-old daughter has been both challenging and frustrating, to say the least. It has proved to be rather difficult to find women's swimwear that is not too sexy, and properly covers the intimate parts of her tall and slender (5' 8" - 135 lbs) teen body. At first glance, this swimsuit appeared to be the perfect solution. It is very fashion forward, and uses tropical material in one of the hottest designs this season. It features an attractive cross halter bikini top with top tie, and matching bottoms with open criss- crossed sides. Finally, a perfect swimming suit that fits the bill. Right?
My daughter was so excited to try this swimwear on; but unfortunately, skewed sewing at the seams resulted in significant sizing discrepancies, and an overall poor fit. I manipulated the halter crosses and neck tie to prevent accidental exposure from the over sized top. The end result was extra poof in the breast areas, but at least her ta tas remained covered. Unlike the top, the bikini bottoms are plagued with extreme tightness. They were so tight on my daughter that after just one beach trip, the suit was never worn again.
