In the pictures, I have shown the Selenium pill for size, as well as the front of the bottle and the nutrition panel of the bottle. The bottle came sealed and contained cotton, as is expected for any sort of vitamin. The packaging and labels were clear, visually appealing, and contained the concise information that you would expect to find about the medicine. The pill itself is sort of a lighter brown or tan color and of average size. Each pill contains 200 mcg of Selenium according to the nutrition information on the bottle. Overall, it was well packaged and well labeled, which I appreciate as it makes it easier to find information.

The first thing I noticed about each of the vitamins that I tried from Pure Healthland, including the Selenium: Extra Strength, is that I am very appreciative that they are capsules instead of tablets. I loathe tablet vitamins as they are often horse pills with a foul smell and taste. I am not a fan, at all. So, the fact that these are capsules was a pleasant surprise for me! This particular pill did not appear to have any odor that I could detect except a slight smell when I first opened the bottle. The capsules are a fairly standard size, long but reasonably thin and I did not have any issue swallowing them when I often struggle with larger pills.

I have only been able to take a few days of the vitamin so far, so I cannot discuss much in terms of long term effectiveness. I can say that I haven’t noticed any negative side effects to the supplement at all in those couple of days. I took it first thing in the morning on each of the days I took it so that I would remember to take it, and that worked nicely and did not appear to negatively impact my performance during the day. I can also say that I have generally felt better in the last couple of days than I had in the week prior, but due to the short length of time I cannot conclusively say if this vitamin is the cause of that. Selenium, according to the label, boosts your immune system and it also serves as an antioxidant.

Generally, my initial reaction to this Pure Healthland product is positive. As I stated, I am not assessing the long term benefits in this post, but hopefully I will continue to be pleased.
