Little Missie loves to dress up and has really started with pretend play a lot more lately. She loves her pretend dishes, foods, and utensils, so I thought maybe she would like this dress up baker's outfit, too. It comes with the apron, a baker's kercheif headpiece, and two arm pieces. I was really confused by the arm pieces, though. I had assumed they were going to be oven mitts or something instead but they are sleeves that slide on to your arms. Never saw anything like them before and they are far too big for her little arms. The apron has an adjustable strap for around the neck that you tighten on the side and waist ties you tie behind you. The head kercheif is a triangle that you tie in the back. The whole set is covered in polka dots, ruffles, and bows and comes in three different colors - the pink I got, a dark blue, and a red. I find it amusing that the Amazon description says for girls and boys but there is no way any boy I know would want to wear this. It is a lot thinner and flimsier than I would like to see in pretend play dress up clothing. I am already noticing some threads beginning to pull loose and am sure it is going to start unraveling in places soon. It is a cute set, but it is not something that I would buy again due to the quality. I would prefer something a little more durable for a toddler or little girl to wear, knowing how rough they are on clothes, especially before they can learn to tie and untie things. And the ties are driving me absolutely nuts right now. Little Missie wants to put it on and take it off 50 times each day (yes, exaggeration since after putting it on her 2 or 3 times and her immediately pulling it off I tell her no and send her to find something else to do). Maybe for an older child this might work, but not for a near 3 year old.
