This review took me a while to write because I was so baffled at how bad this item is.
Firstly, it claims to be "Safe and Non-toxic" but there's no proof of this anywhere. There's no safety marks or logos (not that that's proof nowadays), and I'm not about to try it out for a review so I cannot comment on the authenticity of this claim, but I wouldn't take the risk around children, in my opinion.
Just to comment firstly, I can only review what I received. I can see some other customers have received different boxes and even different colours, but what I say is a review of what I received.
I didn't receive my items in the box in the listing's images, I got a (some would say) nicer box which is plastic coated with...well, I don't actually know how to describe it, a load of randomness really. The text on the box is absolutely hilarious! None of it makes any sense, it's just Chinglish crap and I'd be incredibly embarrassed if I was giving this away as a gift, especially to a child! (who we are supposed to be TEACHING how to spell) After seeing all of this, I actually would have preferred the boring brown box! Although the box doesn't matter really, I suppose.
On first opening the box, it seemed to be all OK and well packaged.
Although, the clay packets are incredibly tiny and you're not going to get much out of each colour, if that's what you're looking for! The listing's photos do appear to be a lot bigger than what you recieve which is a shame (well, not only a shame, but a scam).
It does say in the description that the colours shown may not be the same as what you'd recieve, but they're certain you'll recieve "the basic colours". ALTHOUGH the title says you'll get 24 colours, which I have done, I don't think giving 2 slightly different shades of 1 colour is really acceptable enough to call it "24 colours", but whatever.
After taking all the items out the box, I found that one of the clay colours had split open, making a mess everywhere in the box, and that colour has now dried out, which OF COURSE is one of the colours where I only got 1 shade, brilliant start!
I emptied the small plastic bag of "accessories", to find that quite a few of the items (listed from the booklet on page 1 & 2) are missing. Although they're cheap and tacky anyway so I really couldn't care less, but if you purchased this wanting these items, then that would be another let down!
And don't get me started on the instructions.....again just another load of Chinglish crap, NOT suitable for giving to a child or as a gift as it's embarrassingly pathetic.
The "package include" page is really confusing too. There is images of some items included, and then random images of random "ideas"?
Honestly, I was baffled reading the whole booklet. Have a read of it from the images I've uploaded on this review and it'll be enough to put you off buying it alone!
I also noticed, in 2 different places the instructions says to cook for 30 minutes at 120-130c, and another says 135c for 20-25 minutes.
AND to top it all off, the clay is actually very crap as well! It crumbles and turns into nothing, and the colours run way too easily (that's when it does actually manage to stay together), it just proves most of the colours are dried out and cheap!
PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM! Spend some more money on a proper set that has actually been spell checked (I know you can't spell check clay, but it just shows how much little effort has been put into the overall item) and quality checked!
P.S, I can't upload all the images as blog booster only allows 5, and I can't link you to my Amazon review as Amazon have now blocked unverified reviews for this item.
