~ What ~
Made of hard black and green plastic with metal springs, this 28-inch tool is used to pick up dog waste without bending down. In gripping the two handle sections together, the double-claw opening at the bottom of the unit can scoop up dog poop. The claw barrels can expand to 7.3 inches wide and are 5.3 inches across. Arriving in a cellophane bag, its instructions are included.
~ Why ~
Having a beagle, we are diligent keeping our backyard lawn free of dog feces. Usually, I have two small scoopers that I have to bend over and shovel together to pick up the poop. I like that there is no bending over using this product, and it is easy to use.
~ Why Not ~
Some may not like the flimsiness of the bolts nor the small size of the claws, yet I had no issues. Since our dog does not poop in large amounts, the claws were sized appropriately for our needs. Others may feel it is hard to squeeze the two handles together.
~ Wish ~
I wish the instructions were better written in English.
~ Want ~
If you are looking for a pooper scooper with a wide-opening, this one is an excellent choice when you do not or cannot bend over to pick up the excrement.
