Great lamp for camping trips

We camp a lot so I'm always on the look out for additional items of kit and, with an 8 year old who has started going on cub camp this was the perfect purchase for his new camping kit. Camping lanterns are one of those essentials that we tend to but regularly, you can never have enough! This one is a sturdily built plastic lantern which is powered by three AA batteries. I always like to have a mixture of lamps I can charge by USB and those which are battery powered as it means you can always have light.
To set this lamp up you simply pop in the batteries in the base compartment, which unscrews to open it (you aren't going to lose a little battery door) then you pull the top of the lanter upwards using the two thin metal handles to turn on the light. You simply push it back down to switch it off again.
The lamp can be hung using the two metal handles or it has a small plastic clip in the base which can be unfolded to hang the lantern upside down. I really liked this feature as it means you can hang the lamp with the light facing downwards, for maximum illumination.

This is a really sturdy lantern which will definitely be well used on future trips. Recommended.
