I purchased one of these to place in my dark pantry and loved it. Now, as crazy as it sounds, I’ve been looking for someway to light up my shower. Obviously, the choices are pretty limited short of installing an overhead light. It is so dark in my shower and I can’t tell you how many times I have nicked my legs. Since this worked so well in my pantry I thought I’d give it a try in the shower. Due to the way the light strip is set up, moisture doesn’t affect the lamps. I was able to place the battery compartment over to the side behind the shower curtain where it’s protected. The way the light functions also makes this perfect. In my pantry I have it set up on auto. As soon as I open the door the light comes on. Within about 45 seconds of no motion sensed the light goes off. I’ve been using this for over a month now, in the pantry, and I get in that pantry a lot. The 4 AAA batteries have shown no signs of running down. What makes this light so awesome for both locations is that I can switch it to manual, which is how I want to use it in the shower. Only when I need it. Save batteries, last longer. The light strip covered the entire back half of my shower, providing the perfect amount of light. Plus, it looks pretty cool whether it’s lit up or not. The moisture has not affected how well it sticks to the fiberglass shower enclosure. The controller is attached with very strong Velcro, so if I want to remove it to replace the batteries, it’s simple. I love this in both locations, and I’m already planning which cupboards and closets I’m going to place more in.
