I bought this Bluetooth receiver for my partner to use in his car. He doesn’t have any hands-free devices built into his car and so we both felt that it’s a safe option to have this product in case an emergency call is needed while he’s driving in traffic.
The product arrived packed inside a very nice presentation box with some images, features and specifications written on it, containing a Bluetooth, hands-free car kit, a 3.5 mm black coloured audio cable and a user manual. It also comes with a 12 months warranty.
My partner and I are happy with the receiver. It’s user friendly and it performs well. I like the design. The Bluetooth 4.1 transmitter is lightweight, made from good quality black and dark grey plastics, comprising a black plastic body which holds the receiver’s control panel with a good sized LCD display at one end, and the attachment for a car cigarette lighter/charger at the other end.
It’s a compact device, and looks smart and funky. The black and silver coloured control panel measures approximately 5.7 cm tall, by 4.5 cm wide and 2 cm deep. It has a 3.1 cm x 3.8 cm black coloured LCD display, which is easy to read.
The control panel of the FM transmitter has a built-in twin USB port, a 3.5 mm audio port, and an SD card slot, which can support USB flash drives and memory cards with a maximum capacity of 32GB. You just insert your flash drive or SD card with your MP3 files, and it will play and transmit the MP3 files automatically.
The audio-in port is located next to the side of the control panel and you can connect up your MP3, iPod or another device with the supplied, 55 cm long audio cable, which has a 3.5 mm thickness and silver coloured connectors.
The control panel has the following controls: Play/Pause – CH (channel) – Call - Previous/Volume + and Next/Volume -. It’s user friendly and easy to operate.
The receiver is compatible with any Bluetooth enabled device, it has a built-in microphone and supports hands free calling. You just need to connect it to your car cigarette lighter (a small LCD display with an LED light will state “charging”), turn on the Bluetooth option in your ‘phone settings, and pair it with the device by selecting the T19 option.
It wirelessly transmits a ‘phone call from any smartphone to the car’s FM stereo system, using its built-in FM transmitter which has a frequency between 87.5 and 108.0MHZ. You need to tune your radio to an unused FM frequency and then match it with the same frequency of this gadget. It switches to hands-free mode automatically from music playing status when receiving calls.
The 2.1A USB is located on the control panel and is a very useful feature of this product. My partner doesn’t now need to worry about his mobile ‘phone turning off due to low battery charge, and he can enjoy good quality music and clear mobile conversations, without fear of losing his driving licence. He’s very happy with this device and I’m pleased with my purchase.
