Seems more hygienic than conventional ones. Very useful to get into areas bigger brushes don't reach but one downside is that it's not quite as good at scrubbing the open areas. I'm now using both types of brushes as they are good at different things. Glad I got one of these though because, again, conventional brushes just don't manage to reach certain places.
