Now that the baby is getting older, I decided to pick up some more water toys for her to use in the bathtub and outside in the pool. I thought this fishing toy might be fun for her, as well as help her with some of her fine motor skills.
In the set you get the fishing pole and three floating fishies. The fishies all have rings in the top of them that you can use to pick them up with. The fishing pole is small and easy to hold on to for little missie. It has a thicker rope that the hook dangles from. The hook itself has three prongs on it that you can use to slide through the rings in the top of the fish to pick them up. I thought the fishing pole would have a crank on it, but it doesn't. The rope simply hangs from the end of the fishing pole.
It is a little cheaply made overall, but what can you expect with the price point being less than $10. I think it will be fine for the baby to play with, especially since she doesn't have the skills to really do much more than poke around with the pole and will play with the floating fishies. Not bad for a toddler, but nothing fancy.
