Worthless for me

I am so disappointed in this product. I had such high hopes for it working for me and my pressure cooker. I have worried about my cabinets, which are wood finished, getting damaged any time I use my pressure cooker, which is a lot. I always pull it out as far away from the cabinets as possible, but the steam still hits them due to the way the kitchen is laid out and where the pressure cooker sits. When I saw these steam valve release covers I thought it was ingenious and would be perfect for my needs in redirecting the steam away from my cabinets. The piece is a flexible rubbery like silicone that comes in two seperate pieces. You fit the two together and then slide it over your steam valve allowing you to position it in the direction you want the steam redirected. I had no trouble putting it together but for the life of me could not get it to fit over the steam valve. I tried following the pictures in the Amazon listing and included instructions but it simply would not fit. My pressure cooker is an off brand, not an Instant Pot or one of the more well known names. But regardless, it has the same design as every other pressure cooker so I assumed it would work. No luck though. If you have an Instant Pot, I am sure this is a good product (unless you have a Lux model and then it says this won't fit).
