I am impressed! My likes: it is big, much bigger than I expected it to be. The rechargeable battery that comes with it is HUGE, it looks like a shotgun shell! It did come mostly charged, it had around 80% so I was able to use it the first night. It lights up my backyard and my mountain side with no trouble. It does have the ability to change the "focus" making the light beam bigger across or smaller, honestly it's so bright that it almost doesn't matter what focus you are using, it will more than light up the night.
One major thing I appreciate about this flashlight is the screen that shows the percentage of battery power left. I am well experienced with these kinds of flashlights that use the lithium batteries, they tend to stay very bright until they run out of juice then they just go off. I live in a very rural area, on the side of a mountain in the high desert of one of the darkest areas in the lower 48 of the USA. Unless the moon is out, it's DARK out here. I have been out on my property at night and had a flashlight similar to this quit on me, leaving me stranded in the pitch dark, I managed to get home, but it was slow going. With this flashlight, since it shows me the percentage of battery power left, I am not worried about how much juice I have when I grab it and go out in the night.
The other thing I really appreciate about this flashlight is the fact that I can charge it without having to remove the battery, it has a USB-C charger port so I can just plug it up and charge, no disassembly, no having to use a separate charger. Oh and having a USB-C charger means I don't have to look for a charging cable, I already have plenty of them around. I may have to buy a few more of these for my family and neighbors.
