Not bad, runs small

Bought this for my wife but she hasn't had the opportunity to wear it out yet due to the weather but she has tried it on. However, from my examination upon arrival, the material is very soft and to me feels almost like a thick felt material. The blue color looks identical to the photo here and on Amazon. The stitching feels strong with no loose threads or ends.

I ordered a small since that is what the size chart recommended, however I had my suspicions that it might not be correct. And although my wife generally wears a small in almost everything, this fit a bit snug even for her. The upper arms were snug and do not leave her much room. Not binding or uncomfortable, just more like a shirt than a coat. She is also very large chested and while she was able to button the coat up all the way it was a struggle for her and made her breast out of shape and flattened. The length was good though for her 5'3" frame and 135lbs.

If I knew then what I know now I would have ordered a size up and gotten her a Medium instead. But she really likes the coat and hopes that if she loses an extra 5 pounds it will fit her better. Until then it will be banished to the coat closet until it is a bit warmer of a day and she can wear it unbuttoned.
