Received this a couple of days ago, waited until I could check it out before writing a review.
First, I verified that the HDMI, VGA and Ethernet ports were working. The USB ports I checked out charging my iPhone.
The unit appears to be well made.
I would prefer the USB input connecter was on the opposite end, allowing for an "in-line" physical setup.
One thing that I didn't see in the description or other reviews was that it came in a nice, zippered, "leather" case. Should help prevent scratches in the kit bag, although will increase the size a bit.
Seems like a Swiss army knife companion to my MacBook, if you need it consider paying $10 more for the version with SD card slots also.
Knocked off one star in the rating since I don't have longer term experience with regards to reliability yet.
