Great for baking, dough etc. Silicon/rubber cover is heavy duty material and can withstand toddler chewing on the rolling pin. Not suitable for kinetic sand and I found it difficult to wash the sand off - had to wash several times. Children use wooden rolling pin for kinetic sand.
