Winter is the worst time for a dry, itchy scalp. Tea tree has been known to help remedy that. I usually just use tea tree oil directly on my head (and I haaaaaate the smell and the tingle) and this is a much easier alternative and solves the problem just as well as the direct oil does. My head was itching before I showered and I felt relief almost immediately after using this product. (I’m talking like, within seconds. That fast.)
The thing I was concerned most about with this was the smell because tea tree is probably on the top ten worst scents for me. This doesn’t smell like tea tree at all. Not even a trace. That was extremely pleasing for me. I’m not entirely sure what the scent actually is, but it’s really pleasant and clean and virtually tea tree free even though one of the main ingredients is tea tree.
The shampoo is clear and the conditioner is white. It takes maybe about a dime size of both to cover my head entirely. The bottle is HUGE, which means it will last a few months since it takes such a small amount to do the job. The pump on each bottle is also really easy to use (even for arthritic hands like mine) and takes minimal effort.
Honestly this shampoo and conditioner feels like salon quality stuff at half the cost. It’s $20 for BOTH of these huge jars and my hair feels fantastic. It feels better than it does with anything bought at Walmart and it feels just as good as it does when I leave the salon. I couldn’t be happier. I’m definitely repurchasing this when I run out.
