Nice to see the time on the wall

I cannot tell you how many mornings I have woken up and asked my husband what time it is because I don't want to roll over and raise up to look at the clock. My bed is higher than my nightstands, so you have to raise up to look over at them if you are not on the edge. I have considered getting a personal projection clock to have the time reflected up on the ceiling so that I can truly be lazy when I am not ready to get up, but still know the time. This clock looked promising, offering more than just projection, so I thought I would try it out.   But I am not sure it is going to work for my needs. It works good, projecting the time, but I am not convinced it is going to be the clock I wanted. I think I need to play with it a bit more and see if it works the way I was hoping before making a final judgment. I have learned a little more about it, but not as much as I would hope. Unfortunately, my clock did not have an instruction manual or usb cable, both of which are listed in the items included. Mine was just the clock itself in the box.   The clock can be powered up in two different ways. You can either use 2 triple A batteries to power it up or you can use a DC 4.5V input and plug it in to any adaper you have. I did happen to have a power cable that worked for it, though I had to go hunting through my cable box to find it, since the box did not include it like it was supposed to. I have the clock plugged in to my portable charger right now testing it out.   When using the triple A batteries, you do not have full projection or color until you press the backlight button or the snooze button on top. When you press that, the entire unit lights up, including the projection. It stays lit for a short time, then goes off. This is designed to save power, so you don't run through all the juice in your battery. When plugged in with the DC cable, the lights and projection stay on the entire time without having to press the buttons to light them up. Keep in mind not to use DC and batteries simultaneously or you may risk damaging the unit overall. And when switching from battery to DC or when battery power runs out, there is no memory function to save your settings. For example, when I switched from batteries to test out my DC plug, I had to set the time and date once again. When I go to unplug the clock from my power bank and take it to plug in somewhere in the bedroom, I will have to set it up yet again. This is a major pain, but what do you expect from a unit that is less than $15.   The unit is designed to give you time, date, and provide an alarm. It also offers and Indoor thermometer with a range of 0C~+50C to +32F~+122F and an Indoor hygrometer with a range of 20% to 95%. They do say that it has errors, though, and is for reference only. I did not take it in to the hallway where our digital thermostat is to see if they can display the same info. 
Some of the issues I am facing that I can't seem to figure out -
- The 12/24 hour function. I can't figure out how to change it from 24 hour display to 12 hour. I hate using 24 hour, but I can't seem to get it switched over to my preference.
- The projector display. Right now it is displaying upside down. I can't seem to get it to change the display so that it projects right side up.   But that is all. Otherwise, I am quite pleased with how it works. I just wish I could get the display features working right so that I CAN use it.   Great battery operated clock or DC powered with nice features, but a tad challenging to set up without the instruction manual. I think had I had the manual, things might be easier to use.
